TACC Team Engages with Future Automotive Talent at Southern Tas Employment and Careers Expo
The TACC team recently participated in the highly successful Southern Tas Employment and Careers Expo, connecting with numerous school leavers interested in pursuing careers in the automotive industry.
Representatives from TACC expressed enthusiasm about their involvement at the event, which proved to be an excellent platform for engaging with young people about to enter the workforce.
“It was great to be involved at the Southern Tas Employment and Careers Expo this year,” said Bruce McIntosh, TACC State Manager. “The level of interest from students was remarkable, and we’re thrilled with the connections we made.”
Throughout the day, TACC team members held informative discussions with attendees, providing insights into the diverse career paths available within the automotive sector. These conversations covered everything from technical roles in vehicle maintenance and repair to opportunities in automotive design, manufacturing, and customer service.
The expo comes at a strategic time for TACC, as the organisation is actively recruiting for its next cohort of automotive apprentices. This apprenticeship program offers school leavers a structured pathway into the industry, combining hands-on training with theoretical education.
“We’re looking for passionate young people who are eager to learn and grow within the automotive industry,” explained McIntosh. “Our program provides comprehensive training that equips apprentices with the skills needed in today’s rapidly evolving automotive landscape.”
The automotive sector continues to undergo significant transformation, with advancements in electric vehicles, autonomous driving technology, and digitisation creating new roles and requiring new skill sets. TACC’s apprenticeship program is designed to address these industry developments, ensuring that new entrants are prepared for both current demands and future challenges.
School leavers who missed the opportunity to speak with TACC representatives at the Southern Tas Employment and Careers Expo are encouraged to visit the organisation’s website for more information about apprenticeship opportunities and application procedures.
As the automotive industry continues to evolve, TACC remains committed to developing the next generation of skilled professionals who will drive innovation and excellence in the sector.
