Roadside Help Q&A
The Tasmanian Automotive Chamber of Commerce runs TACC Roadside Help through its TACC Accredited program. Simply visit your local participating TACC Accredited member the next time you need vehicle servicing or repairs and ask for your free TACC Roadside Help voucher. If you require roadside assistance during the voucher valid period, call the number on your voucher and help will come to you. Your friendly TACC Roadside Help participant will do all they can to get you going again straight away. If your vehicle requires more extensive repairs, they will tow your vehicle back to the business that issued the voucher.
TACC Roadside Help can assist you with:
• Dead battery
• Flat tyre
• Run out of fuel
• Breakdown tow.
Ask your participating TACC Accredited member for your free voucher when you collect your vehicle from service or repair. Then, keep it handy, so you can contact us when you need.
Participating TACC Accredited members can issue six-month or 12-month vouchers.

Assistance coverage
• Flat Battery – we will jump start your vehicle
• Flat tyre – we will change your spare wheel
• Run out of fuel – we will supply up to 10 litres of fuel (payable by you)
• Breakdown tow
Restrictions
A valid voucher must be presented to the tow operator otherwise all costs will be charged to you. This service will tow your vehicle for a maximum of 25km, after which you will be liable for any excess kilometres, which is to be paid to the tow operator. Only one tow is allowed per breakdown. This voucher does not cover accident towing, lockouts, off-road recovery or bogged vehicles. This offer does not apply to taxis and vehicles over three ton. This service is available in the State of Tasmania only.
Accredited Repair Centre
The vehicle must be towed to the TACC Accredited Repairer shown on the certificate. If the repair centre is located in excess of 25km from the breakdown location then it will be towed to a TACC Accredited Repairer within 25km, if available, otherwise to a destination of your choice. Excess kilometres are payable by you. If your vehicle requires towing after hours it will be towed to a secure storage facility for delivery to the TACC Accredited Repairer on the next working day. You will be liable for the cost of the second tow.
Cover and Termination
This service is only available for the vehicle detailed on this certificate. We reserve the right to terminate the benefits of Roadside Help without notice at any time. TACC will use its best endeavors but does not guarantee service. You indemnify TACC/tow operator for, and waive your rights to claim, any damages/loss arising from use of this service.
